This movie is getting an insane amount of press; I stopped trying to keep up with it weeks ago.
But just now I read this article regarding the scene where Edward plays Bella’s lullaby. I love Matt Bellamy as much as Steph M., but I’m throwing my support behind Robert. It would feel more meaningful and genuine if he were able to compose his own character’s music.
Ironically, I was just re-reading this part of the book on the bus yesterday. XD
There’s also a seriously cute three-segment interview with Kristen and Robert, plus transcript, here.
I love RPattz interviews. I’ve never seen anyone stutter and mumble for over six consecutive minutes, successfully saying absolutely nothing, and look so adorable doing it.

I see where you’re comming from, but, would YOU pass up a chance to have Matt Bellamy write YOU something? I completly understand that Robert composing the piece might be more meaningful to his character, but Muse has had such an impact on these books that maybe Matt was ment to write the piece. You know Muse, obviously, and Mr. Bellamy is a musician, who has had so much more time and credit to his skill. Any chance to have Matt Bellamy write anything for a movie, must be taken. Although, Mr. Bellamy would probably say the same thing as you. He was the one who said that the new James Bond movie should have Amy Winehouse sing the theme, and indeed, they chose her. But she’s in jail, so…

I would not pass up the chance to have Matt Bellamy do ANYTHING for me. Write me a song, make me dinner, take out my trash… haha. ♥
Even if it’s Robert’s song that is used as Bella’s lullaby, I would not at all be opposed to sticking a Muse song somewhere else in the movie. In fact, it would be a soundtrack worth buying if both RPattz and Matt had a hand in it.
(Amy got arrested… again?)
