1) The first promotional photos for the Twilight movie (Cullen family) are out, and more recently photos of Steph M. on set. A crime was committed against Jackson Rathbone’s hair and Nikki Reed still isn’t my Rosalie, but overall, they’re doing a great job.
2) Christian Serratos was cast as Angela. I like her. And Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. I’m sorry.
3) Yesterday I got the first of what will probably be a parade of ‘Give Us All Your Meager Wages And Then Some’ notices from school. I wish I lived in a country that appreciated my desire to be well-educated and didn’t try to take all my money. So much for spending my tax return on Fun Things.
4) Then again, I could always cut off one of Edison Chen’s hands for the triad and make myself a cool $91,000. Too bad I don’t live in Hong Kong.
5) I finally gave into peer pressure and joined the fatvat that is myspace. The only uses I’ve found for it so far are filling out boring internet memes because I’m too bored to find anything productive to do, and stalking. I just wish the latter didn’t work conversely.
I’m already getting messages from creepy guys. Guys who should have grown out of their High School Whiny Emo Phase long ago and should not be using names like “My Life Is A Sad Pit of Sadness Covered In The Blood That Is Dripping From My Wrists” and “It’s All Sh*t.” Are these the only sort of guys that gravitate towards me? Maybe I should consider lesbianism.
6) Some co-workers might already think I’m a lesbian. A lesbian with friends who enjoy getting drunk, having orgies, and reading literature written by the devil (Twilight?). Either my co-workers are too conservative, or reading Jezebel on a regular basis has made me too candid and outspoken about topics that are more socially awkward than I realized. If it’s the latter, I don’t regret it. My Google Reader would not be the same without the Jezzies.
7) Lovelovelove Sarah Blasko and Laura Marling. Oh, and Nicole Atkins.
Nicole Atkins - The Way It Is
Nicole Atkins - Cool Enough
from Neptune City
Sarah Blasko - Planet New Year
Sarah Blasko - Always On This Line
from What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have
Laura Marling - Typical
Laura Marling - Night Terror
from the My Manic and I EP (which is now unavailable) / Alas I Cannot Swim
